1. Make sure the motor is rotating in a right direction
Be clear about the direction of rotation of the motor. Nowadays, many types of sewage pumps can pump water whether its motor is rotating forward or backward. But when it is rotating backward, it pumps out less water but costs stronger current. If it rotates backward for a long time, the motor winding may be damaged.
2. It is prohibited to start the machine when the power supply is abnormal.
The low voltage power supply circuit is very long. The voltage at the end of the circuit may often be very low. When the phase voltage is below than 198V and the line voltage below 342V, the motor of sewage pump will fall off in speed. If it rotates at less than 70% of the rated speed, the start-up centrifugal switch will be closed and the starter winding will become hot or even be born out together with the capacitor when they are charged with electricity for too long. On the contrary, if the voltage is too high, the motor will become overheat and the winding will also be born out. Therefore, when the sewage pump is working, the operator must always pay attention to the power supply. If the power supply is 10% below the rated voltage or 10% above the rated voltage, the operator should stop the motor and troubleshoot the problems.
3. Cable installation and insulation resistance requirement of submersible pumps
When installing sewage pumps, you have to build a aerial cable way. Do not make the power line too long. When the sewage pump goes down into water or gets out of water, never let the cable bear any force or it may break. Do not let the sewage pump sink into mud when it is working for fear of causing bad heat to the motor and burning the winding. During installation, the insulation resistance of the motor shall not be lower than 0.5 M Ω.
4. Electrical leakage protector installation
Electrical leakage protector is also called a life protector. You can see how important it is by its neck name. The sewage pump works under water. The electricity in it is easy to leak, causing electric energy loss or even accidents. If you install a leakage protector, it can cut off power supply for the sewage pump to ensure safety, prevent electricity leakage and electric energy wasting once the leakage value is above the action current value of the protector(normally less than 30mA).
5. Do not start up and power off too frequently
Do not start up the sewage pump or power it off too frequently. When the pump stops, the liquids will flow back a little.
